Ever since I can remember, Baby C has had a love for books. Before she could crawl or walk, much of our days were spent reading. She basically has her own mini library in her bedroom. It's hard to tell which is her favorite, because each week she favors a new one. Even at bedtime, she is snuggled by the nightlight, reading a book. My little bookworm!
What is your child's favorite book?
Lu's favorite book right now is Snow White but her every night favorites are the Llama Llama series that her brother had. Both my kids had them memorized. Eph also loved Going on a Bear Hunt (which is fun to act out) and Lu loves the Ladybug Girl books too. I wrote a post about his favorite books when I first started blogging.
ReplyDeleteI remember Going on a Bear Hunt from when I was little! Awesome! You should share your favorite book blog post link here. I would love to read it.
DeleteC-U-T-E! My daughter loves the Berenstain Bears books and Mercer Mayer's Little Critter series.
ReplyDeleteI love Berentain Bears too! I hope Baby C gets into those! I remember my neighbor used to have a collection of them. They were one of my favs to read.
DeleteIs Baby C reading the Bible in one of the pictures? hehe
ReplyDeleteMy kids love books too! We have new favorites every week but Curious George series are always a winner.
I blogged about H&N's top 5 fav books here.

Yup, that is a Bible. Ha ha! The kids that I taught while pregnant with Baby C, gave that to her. Baby C hasn't read a Curious George book yet, but she loves watching him on tv. I need to get her the books! Thanks for sharing your post!
ReplyDeleteLove the collage. It's so interesting that even before J could speak or recognize things, we read to him. He didn't respond except to just sit there and listen. Isn't it amazing how it pays off? Because now, he loves books too. It may not be his first inclination all the time, but when he starts, he has to read a couple at a time. We love all books! His favorite at the moment is Iggy Peck Architect. Also loves the Gordon & Lili books which teach Mandarin words. I thought he spoke in a cute voice already, but his Mandarin is even cuter!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I bet the Mandarin voice is so sweet! Yes, it certainly does pay off.
DeleteWe (Zi's family) love books in our house as well! The kids have so many favorites but currently the one we read almost every night is Corduroy which E4 received on his 1st birthday. BTW we threw him a book party!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea to have a book party! You need to write about it on your blog. I want all the details, Zi!
DeleteI love that both of my kids love books. We are planning my sisters baby shower, and she had the baby in December but lives in California so won't be home until March, so we are having a book party b/c she has so much of the necessities already. And, well, plain and simple, nobody can have too many books.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea, Shannon! You are right, no one can have too many books. Congrats on the new baby in your family!
Deletemy Isabel is a book lover too!it seems like every time it gets quiet in her room, i rush in there, thinking she doing something wrong, but she is reading a book! got some real cute pics of it when she didnt know i was looking!
ReplyDeleteAw! That's awesome, Jamie! Those pictures are priceless!
DeleteAllyson LOVES Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. She laughs and laughs through the whole book. Aubrey just loves reading and being read to. I think anything new or from the library because she doesn't know what's coming.
ReplyDeleteI bet her laughter is so sweet! I remember reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom to kindergartners when I was in middle school. Such a great memory! Thanks for reminding me of it.
